The Tianmen Fox Fairy Tale Show, based on the story of the woodcutter Liuhai, is a musical show set among high mountains and valleys. Started in September 2009, this show takes place at the foot of Tianmen Mountain in Zhangjiajie.
The show is divided into five parts: the choice of the imperial concubine by the Fox King, the meeting on the mountain, love in the night, the betrayal of the King and the wait. The narrative revolves around a romantic love story between a fox fairy and a woodcutter. During the performance, spectators can enjoy stunning visual effects such as flying waterfalls and a large moon, listen to folk songs performed by 100 silver-bedecked local singers, and delight in traditional dances.
